Beloved of Londoners and beyond. Each year the Caribbean community invites us to celebrate with them

 

 

Continuing the long history of many Carivnals, NHC originated as  protest, and resilliance, and was response to to the racist murder of local Trinidadian Man Kelso Cochrane in 1966

 

Growing to this day,Notting Hill Carnival is unique amongst Caribbean Carnivals, hosting both Soundsytem  Culture and Soca Floats and costumes as well as Steele Pan and traditions such as Jouvert and Jab amongs many others.
